The short version
We collect the personal information you give us, mainly your name and email address, plus your eating assessment result if you choose to receive it by email. We use it to send you what you asked for and, with your consent, our newsletter. We never sell your data. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time.
1. What we collect and why
Forms and downloads. When you request the recipe book, join a waitlist or contact us, we collect your first name and email address. We use these to deliver what you requested and, where you have consented, to send you emails about recipes, training and our programmes. Lawful basis: consent, and performance of a contract where you have bought or requested something.
The eating assessment. Your answers to the assessment are processed in your browser and are not stored by us. If you enter your name and email to receive your result, we store your email together with your result type (for example, “Busy Grazer”) so we can send you relevant guidance. Assessment results are educational categories about eating habits. They are not medical information and we do not use them to infer anything about your health. Lawful basis: consent. If you would rather we did not hold your result type, tell us and we will delete it.
The calorie and macro calculator. Figures you enter are processed in your browser and are not stored by us.
Purchases. When paid programmes launch, payments will be handled by a payment processor. We will never see or store your full card details. This policy will be updated with the processor’s name before we take any payment.
Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security. We do not run advertising trackers.
2. Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Kit (ConvertKit LLC, our email platform, based in the United States and used under UK-approved international transfer safeguards) and our website hosting provider. We share data with no one else unless the law requires it. We never sell personal data.
3. Marketing and unsubscribing
We only send marketing email where you have opted in, and every email contains an unsubscribe link that works with one click, in line with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Unsubscribing stops marketing immediately; we may keep a minimal record of your unsubscribe request so we respect it.
4. How long we keep data
We keep subscriber data while you remain subscribed, and delete or anonymise it within 24 months of sustained inactivity or promptly after you unsubscribe or ask us to erase it, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting purposes.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, and port it elsewhere. Email us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to sort things out first.
6. Children
This website, our emails and our programmes are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
7. Cookies
This site aims to run with only technically necessary cookies (for example, caching set by our host). If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell subscribers by email.
