Who we are. Sammy Lee is the trading name of Sammy Lee-Bapty. Business address: Unit 15, Merlins Eyot, 11 Old Church Street, London, SW3 5DL. Contact: sam@sammyleebapty.com. In this document, “we”, “us” and “Sammy Lee” mean that business, and “you” means the person using this website or buying our services.

1. Not medical advice

Everything on this website, in our emails and in our programmes is general fitness and nutrition education. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not psychological therapy or dietetic treatment. Sammy Lee-Bapty is a fitness coach with 28 years of teaching experience; she is not a doctor, dietitian, physiotherapist or mental health professional. Never disregard or delay seeking medical advice because of something you read here.

2. Speak to your GP first if any of these apply

Consult your GP or an appropriate professional before starting any programme if you: have a heart condition, high blood pressure, diabetes or any diagnosed medical condition; take prescribed medication, including GLP-1 medication; are pregnant or within twelve months postnatal; have a current or past eating disorder; have an injury, joint problem or chronic pain; have been advised for any reason to avoid or limit exercise; or feel unwell in any way that concerns you.

3. Stop and seek medical help immediately if

You experience chest pain or pressure, severe breathlessness, dizziness or fainting, palpitations, sudden severe headache, or any sudden unusual pain during exercise. Call 999 for emergencies.

4. Eating disorders

Our content is written to be non-shaming and anti-extreme, but no general programme is a substitute for eating disorder care. Our quizzes are educational only: they describe common eating patterns, they are not a screening or diagnostic tool, and we never diagnose. If food, weight or body thoughts are causing you distress, or eating ever feels out of control, please speak to your GP, or contact Beat, the UK eating disorder charity, at beateatingdisorders.org.uk. You do not need a formal diagnosis to ask for help, and you deserve support.

5. GLP-1 medication

Our GLP-1 Companion Plan provides nutrition and exercise education alongside medication prescribed to you by a clinician. We do not prescribe, recommend, monitor or manage medication, we make no claims about any drug, and nothing we provide replaces your clinical care. Always follow your prescribing clinician on symptoms, dosing and every medication decision.

6. Results vary and are not guaranteed

Any results discussed on this site reflect published research or individual experiences, not promises. Your results will depend on your starting point, health, adherence and circumstances. We do not guarantee weight loss, strength gain or any other specific outcome, and you should be sceptical of anyone who does.

7. Our evidence standards

We aim to base our methods on the strongest available evidence, preferring systematic reviews, meta-analyses and national guidance, and we name our sources. Where evidence is limited we say so, expert interpretation is labelled as interpretation, and personal experience is labelled as experience. We do not make claims about balancing hormones, fixing metabolism, detoxing or spot reduction, because the evidence does not support them.

8. Testimonials and case studies

Any testimonials or progress images we publish will be from real clients, with written consent, and will describe individual experiences that are not typical or guaranteed outcomes.
